February - April 2010 ~ On the road with the *MacBook until early May 2010 for most of the time...
The MacBook and the PC are not compatible when it comes to most applications. (Rather like fitting Chev parts on a Ford) Windinsight was
built on a PC platform using PC based html from pre 2003 AD. Uploads of pictures (.jpg) work from the Mac as long as there's a target for the
picture. Changing and uploading any of the page .html using the Mac completely corrupts the PC page except
when writing text within a table. So, it becomes a bit more of a challenge using the Mac to do copy/paste using bits and pieces of PC page html, then type within tables and check to make sure this page still works. One little mistake and KaPowie, an html unreadable, uploaded Kaboom results. But hey, it's actually a fun challenge. The making and maintenance of this site has helped to bring me into the reality of 21st Century Digital Awareness. That said, entries and responses for February - April, while away from home, will likely be simple and occasional. (Aside update ~ not as thought, have become a copy & paste expert) |
